Chrome for a Cause. a nice little extension that donates the tabs from the chrome web browser to on of 5 charities. planting trees, water, medical, shelter, and books are the various ways that your tabs can get supported. but make sure to do it at the end of each day.

An intern working for facebook had some spare time and made a little chart basically that shows where the general population of facebook users live(overall not locally) on the global scale. pretty neat

CR-48 chrome netbook

Some one from the Chromeosforums.net has found neat little website http://addicted-gamer.com/cr48-tracker/ that tracks the movement cr-48 chrome pilot netbook.  Cool little site and also shows the stats about how many have shipped and a little looking around shows the shipping logs.  No word on the site for any headed my way...still keeping my fingers crossed tho.

Big Week for Google

This week has been eventful for Google.  They launched the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)  which has a better look to the system with bringing in the green color that android is known for, as well as some more hardware services like the Near Field Communications (NFC) will be supported.  They have also set up a pilot program for heir long awaited Chrome OS.  this pilot program is set-up to test the real world readiness  of the system.  The pilot program is free and limited to 60,000 pieces so sign up quickly (http://www.google.com/chromeos/pilot-program.html).  Im kind of excited for the chrome os a new net book os thats made to run on the net book platform.  Unlike WIndows 7 and XP which has been ported to fit the hardware and the system ends up suffering.  I've signed up for the pilot and if selected i will post my opinions and any information about it if selected

I'm Back

The blog is getting restarted and im going to try to focus on topics from the phone industry and anything else that could be interesting.
